I know this has been addressed many times but I still need clarification. Medicare patient is seen as an outpatient, equipment ordered (metal AFO and shoes). Fabrication in process, patient is admitted to nursing home. If the level of care he is getting is classified as skilled, is the facility responsible for payment regardless of the reason for the admission? What about ordered in the hospital but is to be fit in skilled nursing setting?
