Question on adaptation time for trans-tibial amputee

Ilse Vermeulen

I know it is generally accepted in practice that it takes about 4-6 =
weeks for a mature amputee to adapt to a new limb or socket.

Would any be able to help me with literature to back this up?

Thank you
