amputated middle and distal phalanges of the middle finger

Pearen, Scott RQHR

Hi everyone,

There is a 25 year old man who had his distal and part of his middle
phalanges amputated last year and has recently been diagnosed with complex
regional pain syndrome. The pain is great when there is no compression on
the finger, so we tried just cutting the finger off of a glove, which
worked, but was slightly too tight distally, as well as had no contact over
the end of the finger. He would also like something that could bend a
little easier, so he could get a little function out of it. If any of you
have seen a case where all of these problems were addressed and it still had
good aesthetics, could you let me know what you had success with. Thanks a
lot,
