I recently posted a request for advice on contracting with insurance companies. A few people have asked for me to post the responses.
It has been brought to my attention that discussions of such issues in an open forum can be viewed by certain agencies as an attempt at price fixing. This is despite the fact that the discussion would revolve around the concepts involved in the contracting process and not the contract rates. Apparently some of you know of individuals or practices who have been sanctioned for such discussion.
Therefore I will regrettably not be sharing the information which a number of people have so graciously shared with me. At least not directly. What I will try to do is extract the common thoughts from the responses and post them in a highly sanitized form which avoids all hints of an attempt at price fixing.
If it sound like there is any frustration or sarcasm in my statements, please be assured, it is totally intentional.
