No ins. coverage for volunteers

Hi List members,
We have occasionally have volunteers come in and observe and
sometimes work here to get some experience in O and P.
I just learned that we don’t have insurance coverage if they got hurt
here. (preceptors do have coverage through their O&P school programs)
It has been recommended by my insurance carrier to have a lawyer write
up a waiver notifying the volunteers of this. This wouldn’t stop them
from going after me, though.
