Aetna Insurance

John Hattingh CP

Dear Colleagues,

From the multiple comments I realize this is an issue with multiple clinics.
We also know that we cannot depnd on our associations nor can our Government
affairs advocate step in here because these are business decisions that we
made that are failing us. They have been trying for a decade to get us
acknowledged as a profession and we are still DME. They improve the
schooling sylabys to Masters programs….for what I ask? These kids will be
post grads in a world that compares us to wheelchair saleman……

Therefore, would it be feasable to entertain having an alliance that can
employ a legal advocate/lobyist to represent us in standing up against this
sociolistic industry that denies us the right to question the decisions made
for their profit as opposed the care for their members. The CEO of CVS/Aetna
received nearly $24M for denying his members medical care and underpaying
for in network services.

If we don’t take a stand, and I’m sure the Prosthetic corporate world will
not join us, I wish they would because everyone will benefit……However if
we don’t take a stand against this sociolistic industry, then the rest of
the industrie members will follow because why can one get away with it and
not the other?

Thanks John
