John,
I have worked with LivingSkin twice now and have nothing bad to say about them. They are very heplful and supply all of the impression materials. The first patient I worked with was missing the second and third fingers at the IP. Pateint uses a computer for work and the prostheses has made it easier. You can see them at www.livingskin.com

John,
As to whether a silicone finger will help with typing? I have found that it depends on how much finger the amputee has remaining. The length of the residuum has a lot to do with whether the prosthesis is more trouble than it’s worth in the case of physical activities such as typing. In the case of cosmesis, many salespeople, or people in the public eye, can benefit in several ways from a good cosmetic finger prosthesis. If I can help please write. Hal Wolgamott CP,LP, FAAOP
Dear Rocop
I ever seen the silicon section in the www.ottobock.com. Please see in this web site. With my best regards. Kamon Phakum

Try Realistic 1-800-845-4566. I am currently doing one for a man. Talk to Cristal, She is very accommodating and will help you in any way she can. We have been having a difficult time with matching this mans color due to the intricacies and the many different shades involved and she is bending over backwards to get a match. They can do Vinyl or silicon.
Good luck.

Hello Mr Brinkman,
I fit a silicone finger prosthesis to a lady who types for a living. The silicone finger can be stained by ink. We fit a custom plastazote finger attachment for typing only. If I can answer any questions or be of service regarding the insurance issue you may call me at my office. Regards Tom Bremer C.P.
John,
I don’t recall where you are from, but I use Alternative Prosthetics in Connecticut. Mike Curtin and his brother do a very fine job, cosmetically; and they travel. Turn around times are 6-8 weeks, but worth the wait. Call me at 617-232-0596 if you want their number.
