Sutton Shoe Machine

Molly Pitcher

Dear list, below is my original post and the responses. Thanks for your

help.

Dear list, we have a Sutton S500 shoe machine. We last purchased

sanding belts in ’94 and now none of our previous phone #’s are working

for Stanley-Bostitch. Does anyone know where to purchase new sanding

belts?

Thanks. Molly Pitcher CPO

Try Southwest Leather & Shoe Findings Co. 419 W. Lone Cactus Rd.,

Phoenix,AZ 85027. Their phone # is (623) 780-2991.

Try calling Shoe Systems Plus @ 1-800-354-6278. They sell equipment just

like the Sutton, which as you found out is no longer around. Good luck.

Just a curiosity question. Have you tried Otto Bock or National

Shoe Specialties. They should have such things

We have a sutton machine and buy our belts from Summit leather. We have

worked with Glen @ 1 800 990 7463. You might give them a call with the

size you need.

You should not have a problem getting belts for your sutton. Contact

your local shoemaker and find out where his local supplier is and your

problem is solved.

What you can do is call McMaster-Carr out of Atlanta Georgia. They

will ask you for the measurements of the sanding belts, and have them

made specifically for your Machine

Sanding belts may be purchased from Warra Leather at 734-522-5877. I

have been buying from them for many years.

any shoe repair supplier will carry the belts. I use miami leather

because they are local to me 800-749-9402.

I believe the belts can be purchased from Atlas International in

Sacramento, California. Phone: (800) 545-6287.

any shoe repair shop, in your area, will have the answer. he

Try Rutland Tool and Supply, Inc. 800 727 9787. They have a tremendous

inventory for all kinds of abrasives

Try calling Driscoll Leather Co. out of Omaha, NE . They have a pretty

good

inventory and can get those hard to find parts.

Try Cascade Orthopedic Supply 1-800-888-0865.

Contact a local shoe repair, ask them where they purchase their

supplies. The belts are not made by Landis/Sutton but rather by

companies that make abrasives.

Try Oregon leather 1-503-228-4105 for replacement belts but we found

that we could have them custom made for less .

We use Norton abrasives on our Sutton. Our source is from Plains Leather

Company, 303 East 40th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79404, 1-800-333-1109 or

1-806-749-2200.
