Hello, OANDP-Lers:

I am a postdoctoral fellow on prosthetics in Singapore, my contract will

end next April. Because Singapore is a small country, the research on

prosthetics and biomechanics is not supported enough, I hope to do

research in this area in other country, e.g. Northern America, as a

postdoctoral fellow (The visa will be approved easily by this position)

or research engineer.

I will be very appreciated if you can give me any help.

EDUCATION AND RESEARCH BACKGROUND

Apr. 1996—Apr. 1998 Post Doctoral Fellow in Nanyang Technological

University(NTU) in Singapore. Now, I am studying on a MR(Magneto

-rheological) damper which is used for prosthetic knee joint control.

Meanwhile, I am trying to initiate the research of MR fluids

and its applications for NTU. MR fluids are kind of smart fluids whose

rheological properties can be changed when a megnetic field is

applied,

even can be change from liquid state to solid phase in ms.

AutoCAD V13 is used in work.

Feb. 1991— Sept. 1995 Ph.D. candidate on Mechanical Engineering in

Tsinghua University. Studied on human movement dynamics, a 11 rigid

bodies

system of swing phase and a 12 rigid bodies system of two feet on

ground

stance phase are investigated and work out the kinematic and dynamic

model. Developed a new kind of damper(Using ER fluids) used for

prosthetic knee joint control. With this damper, a intelligent

prosthetic

lower limb(ER-IPLL) was developed. For the control of ER-IPLL, a

micro-NC high voltage supply was invented.

Meanwhile, I also developed a big angular and single direction knee

joint

with weight self-locking. This knee joint is designed for the disable

athletes.

Sept.1986 — Mar.1989 Graduate student on Mechanical And Production

Engineering in Harbin Institute of Technology, Earned Master degree.

Worked out a multi-CPU system used for control of filament winding

machine

which is used to produce rocket motor house for Aerospace Ministry of

China.

Production Engineering of Radofin Electronic (Far East) Ltd., Shenzhen

Special Economic Zone, P. R. China. Being Responsible for leading a

small

term of 4 assistant engineer and several technician on test jag design

and management, line layout design and tools planing, failure

analysis,

supervising the start-up of new modal includes the PCB line and the

assembly line, etc.. The main products of this company include

cassette

recorder, personal computer, electronic toy, etc.
