The Orthotic and Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA) announced that nominations for the O&P Woman of the Year Award are now open.
Nominations must be submitted by July 10 and can be made online on the OPGA website. The 2020 O&P Woman of the Year Award winner will be selected by a committee of O&P professionals. Due to the risks of COVID-19, this year will feature a break in tradition. The selection committee’s decision will be announced online during the virtual American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) National Assembly on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
The annual award, organized by OPGA, is open to all women who work in O&P. Nominators are encouraged to provide examples of how the nominee has made significant contributions throughout her career to serve patients, community, business, and the O&P profession.
“We’re excited to continue recognizing the women in O&P who are creating impactful and positive experiences to the patients and community they serve,” said Todd Eagen, president of OPGA, a division of VGM & Associates.
