The Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation
(OPAF) and the First Clinics, along with the United States Tennis
Association (USTA) North Carolina, hosted the 2018 Wheelchair Tennis
Training and Clinic in conjunction with the Winston-Salem Open tennis
tournament at the Wake Forest Tennis Center on August 20. It was the
third year for the event, which was coached by Jason Harnett, part of
the USTA national coaching staff.

More
than 25 participants attended the morning session of on-court training.
Each participant received a USTA Wheelchair Tennis teaching manual, and
Harnett demonstrated wheelchair tennis skills and drills. More players
joined the afternoon clinic session where they worked on serves, ground
strokes, and volleys.
