Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA) selected Kathleen DeLawrence as the O&P Woman of the Year for 2020. OPGA presented the award to DeLawrence, COO of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics in Exton, Pennsylvania, during a special virtual event on September 9.
“I am humbled by the opportunity to represent all women working in our amazing profession,” said DeLawrence. Under her leadership, OPGA said that Ability has matured and is poised for growth while focusing on serving its patients. DeLawrence also coaches and mentors O&P executives, owners, and staff to help them bring solutions and leadership to their organizations.
“If you’ve been fortunate enough to meet Kathleen, you know that she is known for her relentless focus on helping patients, payers, referral sources, and others in the O&P community,” said OPGA President Todd Eagen. “Kathleen is a leader with a vision and will continue to push our profession forward, ultimately helping the patients being served. OPGA is honored to shine a well-deserved light on her with this award.”
