The Orthotic and Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA), Waterloo, Iowa, is calling for nominations for its inaugural O&P Woman of the Year Award. Nominations are open to women who work in O&P and who have made significant contributions throughout their careers to their patients, communities, businesses, and the profession. A selection committee made up of O&P professionals will select the winner. The award will be presented at an event during the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association’s World Congress in Las Vegas, September 6-9. Nominations must be submitted by June 15.
“Women play such a vital role in our profession. We want to recognize that by honoring someone who has improved the O&P landscape through leadership, patient care, best practices, advocacy, or any other aspect of leadership,” said Todd Eagen, president of OPGA. “We all know someone who deserves to be recognized, and OPGA is proud to lead the charge on this exciting opportunity.”
