Össur and the Orthotic and Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA) named Fanny Schultea, MS, MSEd, CPO, LP, FAAOP(D), as its 2025 O&P Woman of the Year.

Schultea, executive director of the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research since 2023, was honored during the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association National Assembly on September 4.
Schultea, who has extensive O&P education, research, and project management experience, said it was a heartfelt honor to win the award and for the opportunity to work in O&P. “I have seen what a difference this profession can make,” she said when accepting the award.
Schultea also congratulated the other finalists: Lesleigh Sisson, CFo, CFm, vice president and general manager, O&P Insight; Arlene Gillis, CP, LPO, MEd, founder and president, International Institute of Orthotics and Prosthetics; and Radha Amrutia, CPO, CMF, owner of Bakersfield Prosthetics and Orthotics Center, California.
The O&P Woman of the Year award is open to all women who work in the O&P profession. A selection committee of four O&P professionals review nominations and select finalists by considering the nominees’ contributions throughout their careers to patients, the community, and the profession.
