Kristleifur Kristjánsson, executive vice president of research and development, will retire July 1, after a decade with Össur, Reykjavik, Iceland.
Hildur Einarsdóttir has been appointed to the role and will become a member of the Össur executive committee. Einarsdóttir has been with Össur in various roles since 2009. She is an electrical engineer from the University of Iceland and holds a master’s degree in biomedical engineering with focus on computational neuroscience from Imperial College London.
“Hildur Einarsdóttir has been a valuable leader within Össur R&D and global marketing during her 13 years with the company. She has a proven track record of strategy execution and leading global teams. Her industry knowledge and passion for innovation will further advance Össur’s technological leadership and we look forward to having her join our executive committee.
