Ottobock and the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons announced a multi-year partnership naming Ottobock the team’s first-ever Official Adaptive Mobility Partner. The partnership is built around hands-on programming for Atlanta’s adaptive community that began with the inaugural Adaptive Sports Day on September 19 in Norcross, Georgia.

Adaptive Sports Day, a clinic for people with amputations who have the ability to participate in dynamic running activities, was led by Ottobock clinicians alongside former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Michael Haynes. Participants moved through a full progression over the course of the day: product fittings and gait evaluation, running mechanics coached by Ottobock’s clinical running team, and football drills with the Falcons organization. “Movement and sport are fundamental human rights. Prosthetic users deserve the opportunity to participate, pursue their goals, and experience the physical, mental, and social benefits that sport provides,” said Lucas Crisanti, CPO, prosthetic clinical specialist and global running clinic coach, Ottobock, and head coach of Adaptive Sports Day. “This event gives us the opportunity to work directly alongside Atlanta’s adaptive community, providing running prosthesis fittings, coaching, and training while demonstrating how access to the right technology, support, and community can help make movement and sport accessible to all.”
In addition, one participant and a guest will travel to Madrid to represent Ottobock at the Falcons game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
