The 2023 The O&P EDGE Compensation and Benefits survey heard from more than 700 O&P professionals. LinkedIn’s latest global research, conducted by Censuswide this year, included more than 2,000 US professionals across all industries, and the 2023 LinkedIn/Censuswide survey included 1,500 US professionals.
The 2024 global survey included more than 20,000 professionals across various industries, 18 to 77 years old, in the United Kingdom, United States, France, Germany, India, Australia, Brazil, Netherlands, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Results from those surveys found these details about Gen X:
- 67 percent reported being overwhelmed by how quickly their job is changing.
- 51 percent of that 67 percent said they are worried about being left behind in their career due to how quickly their job and work is changing.
- 84 percent said working for a company/organization that demonstrates a commitment to the culture and values they personally support and believe in is important.
- 35 percent said it was extremely important/essential.
- 56 percent said an organization’s culture and values not aligning with their own is a dealbreaker.
- 59 percent said they proactively look for companies and organizations that demonstrate a commitment to the culture and values that they support and believe in.
