July, which marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, is Disability Pride Month.
We asked our followers about the best way to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. Of those who responded on LinkedIn, 71 percent said the best thing to do is to teach your children well. The rest were split between hiring people with disabilities and attending a local related event. One of the choices was to wear blue, which is the color honoring the month, but no one chose that as the best option.
An article in the July issue of The O&P EDGE highlights patient documentation (“Documenting Patient Encounters”) and gives advice about achieving the best mix of thorough patient care, accurate documentation, and timely completion. Last week, our poll focused on how clinicians manage those challenges. Our question: What is your preferred method when it comes to documenting patient care? Of those who responded on LinkedIn, 96 percent said using templates works best, and the rest are using AI. We included choices for having an assistant or resident help, but none of the respondents are going that route.
Since the summer Olympics in Paris start this week, our current poll asks what our followers would like to do or see first in Paris. Since not many of us will get to attend, we can plan our dream trip. “What would you do first if you were in Paris?” is up and in full swing. So far, most everyone would like to see the Eiffel Tower.
Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
