Driverless cars are becoming more prevalent throughout the country. We asked our followers to consider whether or not they’d ride in a car without a driver. Of those who responded to our question, 48 percent said not on your life! Twenty-four percent were a little more open to the idea, saying it would depend on the situation, 16 percent said they would ride in an autonomous vehicle, and 12 percent have already ridden in one.
Political advertising promotes ideas, policies, and candidates through different marketing outlets and it’s not a new phenomenon. In this two-part question, we first asked our followers about the merits and drawbacks. 67 percent said the ads help to increase voter awareness, 17 percent said they help support campaigns and fundraising efforts, and 17 percent also said such advertising helps to drive civic participation.
For this week’s poll we asked our followers about the nays of political advertising. Our question: What are the downsides to political ads? So far, our followers are saying misinformation is the biggest drawback. Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
