Those who responded to our poll question—What is the most important benefit to keeping good employees?—45 percent said experience adds value; 30 percent said skilled labor is a hot commodity in today’s market; 18 percent said there’s increased productivity; and 6 percent of those who responded said the cost of turnover is high.
Last week’s poll asked about your favorite holidays. (Why not? The holiday season is fast approaching!) 52 percent said Christmas; 22 percent said Thanksgiving; and 17 percent said Fourth of July. Nine percent responded to “other” but didn’t tell us which one.
