An article in the April issue of The O&P EDGE magazine highlights the challenges of caring for children with limb loss or limb difference and how that care changes over time. Of those who responded to our question on LinkedIn, what clinicians find to be some of the biggest challenges when it comes for caring for that unique population, 57 percent said communication was the biggest barrier; 33 percent said working with parents; and 10 percent said proper device fit.
April is National Donate Life Month, and last week’s poll question centered on raising awareness. Our question: What can you do to help raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation? Of those who responded, 67 percent said become an organ donor, 25 percent said support related organizations and events, and 8 percent said they would wear blue and green in support.
We decided to highlight Earth Day festivities for this week’s poll, specifically the problem of plastic pollution and what we can do to reduce its impact. Our question is up and in full swing: What part do you play in helping stop plastic pollution? So far, it’s a tie: Our voters are saying they’re recycling more and carrying reusable bottles.
Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
