Research is showing that employees will have to apply creativity, critical thinking, and constant digital upskilling to solve complex problems in the future workplace.
We asked our followers what they believe will play the biggest role. Sixty-one percent said AI and automation will be a large part of the work force; 32 percent said remote work; and seven percent said virtual or augmented reality.
On Twitter, it was unanimous, AI and automation will play the largest role.
Another poll kept the focus on the workplace, specifically the steps an employee can take on their journey to achieve their professional goals. We asked, “What do you think contributes most to career growth?” Of those who responded, 35 percent said constant learning; 30 percent said mentoring; 23 percent said job experience; and 13 percent said networking and conferences.
Last week’s poll question focused on what’s most important going into a job interview. Our question: “What are some of the best things you can do to make your interview go smoothly and be a success?” Seventy percent said come prepared; 18 percent said be on time; and 12 percent said it was important to know who you will be talking to.
And since summer’s claim to the calendar starts on June 21, it calls for the perfect question. “What’s your favorite thing about summer?” It’s up and in full swing on LinkedIn and Twitter. Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
