One poll question centered on what people like to drink while they’re working. Our question: “What do you prefer to drink while you’re on the clock?” Forty-five percent voted for coffee, 35 percent said water, 13 percent said they drink tea (I’m a tea person), and six percent said something else, including Big Red soda. Big Red, created in 1937, is a type of cream soda, for those who don’t know it.
On Twitter, our followers apparently love drinking coffee, voting unanimously for it.
Another recent poll question focused on Disability Pride Month. To commemorate the passing of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990, July was named Disability Pride Month, with the first official celebration held in 2015. Our question was “What can you do to honor Disability Pride Month?” Reponses were unanimous: Becoming an advocate is the best way to honor Disability Pride Month.
And since July is National Ice Cream month, last week’s poll focused on ice cream favorites. (Mint chocolate chip for me, please.)
Of those who responded to our question, 28 percent said chocolate, 25 percent said vanilla, 16 percent voted for strawberry, and 31 percent voted for another favorite flavor. One follower said, “Coffee all the way! Sweet with a boost of energy! Can’t go wrong with the combo if made correctly!” Another said, “Just about anything with caramel!” Other followers chose French vanilla and butter pecan, pralines and salted caramel, and rocky road, and we certainly can’t argue with any of those.
We’re keeping it light for this week’s poll, too. Our question: “What’s your favorite board game?” is up and in full swing. So far, our voters like Trivial Pursuit. Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
