PVA Med, a company using 3D printing for prosthetic check socket design and fabrication, appointed Emily Patterson, CPO, as its new director, replacing Rick Noel, who has retired. Patterson aims to advance lean manufacturing principles and expand PVA Med’s digital workflow integration.
Prior, Patterson spent five years at Sampson’s P&O Laboratory/Hanger Clinic, New York, and developed extensive experience with traditional and digital fabrication methods. Her work included fiberglass casting, plaster mold modification, scanning, digital modifications, 3D printing, and carving.
Patterson holds a master’s degree in O&P from Baylor College of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from Louisiana State University.
