Welcome to Shop Talk! Read\r\non to learn what Shop Talk is all about.\r\n\r\nShop Talk is for technicians from technicians. This means that,\r\neven though I will be writing the articles most of the time, the\r\ncontent for each article will come from technicians like "YOU." The\r\narticles will not simply be my point of view on how technicians\r\nshould act or fabricate-they will be as objective as possible with\r\ninput from the whole field.\r\n\r\nTopics for this article are not limited to tech tips (although\r\nthey are all welcome). Subjects can include safety, lab management,\r\nand anything else you feel would be relevant-don't be afraid to\r\nsubmit any and all ideas. I assure you that all submissions will be\r\nreviewed and that anyone who suggests a topic will receive a\r\nresponse.\r\n\r\n<img style="float: right;" src="https:\/\/opedge.com\/Content\/OldArticles\/images\/2002-06_11\/2002-06_11_02.jpg" hspace="4" vspace="4" \/>\r\n\r\nTechnical education opportunities will be posted. Education committees are always looking for new people to add to their list, so if you are interested in giving or attending a technical lecture, please contact Shop Talk. The opportunities are endless through this forum, but we need your input; what do you want to hear?\r\n\r\nOne of our goals at The O&P EDGE is to introduce technicians\r\nthrough these articles. The tech responsible for the topic that is\r\npublished will receive credit by having his or her name, company\r\nname, a short bio, and color photo at the end of the article. The\r\ninformation will also be available online at <a href="https:\/\/opedge.com\/349">www.oandp.com\/edge<\/a> .\r\n\r\nThis is where technicians have a voice and are heard. Shop Talk\r\nwill appear in The O&P EDGE every other month.\r\n\r\nThe O&P EDGE understands the importance of furthering\r\ntechnical education. So tune in and get ready to learn something\r\nnew and meet your fellow techs. Watch for the first technical\r\narticle in the July issue of The O&P EDGE.\r\n\r\nThanks for reading Shop Talk.\r\n\r\nScott Tracewell is a technician and vice president, Fabtech\r\nSystems LLC.
