The Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research will rebrand to Live in Motion Foundation, effective June 24.
The new foundation’s vision is a future where every person can receive transformative mobility care, with a mission to advance the people and ideas that restore mobility, independence, and quality of life.
“The new name reflects a broader vision for the future of mobility care, one that more clearly communicates the human impact of this work and helps the organization engage audiences beyond the traditional boundaries of the profession,” said Fanny Schultea, MS, MSEd, CPO, LP, FAAOP(D), executive director.
“As the demand for orthotic, prosthetic, and pedorthic care continues to grow, so does the need for stronger investment in the workforce, research, education, and infrastructure that support high-quality patient care,” Schultea said. “This rebrand represents an evolution in how we communicate that mission, expand public awareness, and build sustainable support for the future of the field.”
