UCHealth Stapleton Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation held its monthly amputee support meeting online on January 20, and marked the eighth year the group has met.
“This is no small feat to have run continuously for such a long time. and this is all due to your participation and your commitment. So, thank you,” Guy Lev, PT, DPT, COMT, Rehab Services supervisor for the clinic, told group members. Rehab Services  is part of the University of Colorado (UC) School of Medicine and UCHealth.
“We are so excited to celebrate eight years of continuous support for our community,” Lev said of the support group.
“It has informed, and educated, and given a light at the end of so many dark tunnels to so many people,” he said. “It has allowed those newly amputated or considering amputation to find mentorship and veterans to share their knowledge, and it has participated in many academic studies and surveys that helped advance the science and knowledge for the limb loss community.”
The support group has been held virtually since the pandemic began last year and continues to meet monthly
