Vessl, a Canadian startup specializing in advanced prosthetic systems, completed its first funding round by receiving more investment than it originally sought, called an oversubscribed preseed.
The funding will enable Vessl to accelerate development of its prosthetic devices, including its Isoform prosthetic system, designed for people who have struggled with traditional sockets. Along with product development and launch, the preseed funding will also unlock revenue generation in four key sales channels within the US market as the company begins Food and Drug Administration product registration and clinical research.
“This stage is full of promise,” said Sydney Robinson, cofounder and CEO. “Our goals and missions are strengthened by the support from our investors, mentors, peers, and the expert team at the forefront of design. As we grow we will continue to lead with our overarching mission of solving the unique challenges faced by the amputee population.”
