The language about the orthotists’ and prosthetists’ notes comes from the Medicare Orthotics and Prosthetics Improvement Act of 2017 (S.1191/H.R. 2599). “There has been strong interest in the Senate Finance Committee in enacting S.1191 in its entirety, hopefully later this year. Thursday’s action by the Ways and Means Committee…is very encouraging,” said the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association.
