A good book has several telltale signs of repeated use: the cover is worn, the pages are dog-eared, and the margins are crammed with handwritten notes. In my experience, the same thing holds true for magazines. I consider it a high compliment when readers tell me that their copy of The O&P EDGE is covered with fabrication dust or that they rip articles out of the magazine each month so that they can file them by topic for future reference. I remember a practitioner asking me if it was okay to get a multi-copy subscription because every month his copy of The O&P EDGE would arrive in his inbox, and the next day it would disappear, only to turn up on someone else’s workbench several months later. (Multi-copy subscriptions are fine with us, by the way!)
