Due to popular demand of the Alpha® Hybrid Liners and customer requests, WillowWood is pleased to announce new liner options in both custom and prefabricated liners.
Select fabric and Hybrid gel are now available as options when ordering an Alpha DESIGN® Liner for transtibial and transfemoral applications. Clinicians may create custom liners using any of the liner fabric options with either Alpha Classic gel or Hybrid gel. Both gel types include mineral oil and vitamin E. The Alpha Classic gel is widely known for its comfort and the protection it provides from impact and shear forces. Hybrid gel has a firmer durometer than Classic gel and serves as a bridge between Classic gel and silicone.
The one-way stretch Select fabric controls pistoning without a distal matrix. The fabric’s circumferential stretch allows for easy donning and accommodates various limb sizes. Transtibial Select-fabric liners include a panel that facilitates knee flexion for a broader range of motion.
These new choices are now listed on the DESIGN Liner order form and will be available in OMEGA® Version 12.1. Lead time for DESIGN Liners with Hybrid gel is five to seven business days. For Alpha DESIGN Liner questions, e-mail , or call 800.848.4930 to speak with a WillowWood custom-liner technician.
Additionally, effective February 1, WillowWood is offering Alpha Classic Liners with Select fabric in both transtibial and transfemoral styles. Uniform and progressive profiles are both available in locking and cushion liners. For transfemoral liners, clinicians may choose from the transfemoral profile or the newer symmetrical profile in either locking or cushion. The accordion umbrellas will only be available for locking liners with the progressive or symmetrical profiles.
