WillowWood, Mount Sterling, Ohio, has named Ajay Nair, BME, MBA, as its new vice president of sales, effective January 2, 2020.
Nair has more than 18 years of healthcare, medical device, and pharmaceutical experience. While most recently in the cancer diagnostic field, Nair previously worked at Össur, Reykjavik, Iceland, for seven years developing and expanding its Asian markets for orthotics, prosthetics, and orthopedic business units.
“It’s incredibly exciting for me to have an opportunity to return to the O&P industry,” Nair said. “My previous experience was formative in helping me understand how to be a better partner to O&P providers as well as the user community.”
The majority stake of WillowWood was sold to DW Healthcare Partners, a private equity investment firm based in Toronto, Ontario, and Park City, Utah, earlier in 2019, in response to growth opportunities and changing competitive dynamics within the industry.
