The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) has chosen the recipients of the 2026 Academy Awards, which will be presented this week during the 52nd Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee.
The awards honor exceptional O&P professionals whose work exemplifies clinical excellence, innovation, and service to the profession.
Recipients include:
Titus Ferguson Award: Jan Stokosa, CP, FAAOP, president and CEO, American Prosthetic Institute
Distinguished Practitioner Award: Donald R. Cummings, CP/L, director of prosthetics, Scottish Rite for Children, Texas
Outstanding Educator Award: Bryan C. Roehr, CPO/L, assistant teaching professor, University of Washington
Research Award: Jason Wilken, PT, PhD, associate professor, director of MA/PhD studies, director of collaborative research and development, physical therapy and rehab science, University of Iowa
Clinical Creativity Award: Rob Dodson, CPO, FAAOP, clinical manager, Arm Dynamics
Clinical Commitment Award: Mark Hopkins, PT, CPO, MBA, president and CEO, Dankmeyer
Honorary membership: Todd Farrell, PhD, CEO, Liberating Technologies
