OPIE Software, Gainesville, Florida, has named Michael Weiss as its new executive director of customer experience.
Weiss’ background as a clinical director in a multi-office O&P practice will help to advance the mission of the OPIE organization, which celebrated its 27th anniversary this year.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michael as our newest executive director,” said Paul Prusakowski, founder and CEO of OPIE Software. “He brings experience, enthusiasm, effective communication skills and a customer’s perspective to our organization.”
Weiss assumed the role on June 1 and will manage customer success and sales for the organization. He will also lead communications and customer engagement initiatives. “As a graduate of the University of Florida, I consider my return to Gainesville like coming home. I am thrilled to guide these efforts for the O&P profession’s leading technology provider, and to help bring new innovations to a broader audience,” Weiss said.
Weiss formerly served as the clinical director of the Orthotic & Prosthetic Centers, St. Petersburg, Florida. Prior to that, he was the director of marketing and public Relations for Brownie’s Third Lung, a designer and manufacturer of surface supplied air diving systems in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
