The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics’ (ABC) Executive Director Cathy Carter has been elected to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) board of directors.
CAAHEP is a programmatic accreditor of the health sciences professions. In collaboration with its committees on accreditation, CAAHEP reviews and accredits over 2,100 individual education programs in 30 health science occupations. ABC is an O&P sponsor within the CAAHEP system. The 16 members of the CAAHEP board set the standards for allied health education programs and award programmatic accreditation to those programs meeting the standards.
