The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) received two gold 2018 MarCom Awards for projects serving the O&P professional community. The Academy TODAY won a gold Award in the Educational Institution Magazine category, and the Academy’s social media platforms won a gold Award in the Social Media Engagement category. The MarCom Awards are an international marketing and communications competition honoring excellence and creativity in marketing and communication. The 2018 MarCom Awards included more than 6,500 international entries.
The Academy TODAY is a quarterly magazine that provides clinical articles focused on the latest O&P patient care practices, topical features from the Academy Scientific Societies, and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits. This is the second year in a row that the publication won a gold MarCom Award.
The Academy’s social media presence is tailored to advance the professional interests of and promote advocacy among the Academy’s professional membership, industry stakeholders, and O&P students and residents. The organization also leverages its social media presence to increase awareness of and interest in O&P careers.
