The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) named Larry Ward, CPO, FAAOP, as the winner of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and Joshua Steer, PhD, as winner of the Professor Hans George Näder Digital O&P Award.
The Lifetime Achievement award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the O&P profession. The Näder award is given to recognize the O&P profession for the future as digital care and innovations in technology continue to lead the direction of patient care. Steer was awarded for his presentation of “Insights into Transtibial Prosthetic Socket Design from Expert UK Clinicians Digital Records.”
The awards will be given on the final day of AOPA’s National Assembly on September 15.
