Nominations for the Jim Newberry Award for Extraordinary Service to the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) are being accepted through August 5.
The award recognizes outstanding individuals who perform extraordinary service to BOC and live out the superior example modeled by James Newberry Jr., BOCP, BOCO, BOCPD, a former O&P practitioner and BOC board member.
Winners may include, but are not limited to, former board members, test development volunteers, vendors or other business partners, BOC certificants, personnel from BOC-accredited facilities, and consultants.
The application period for eligible nominees begins when BOC contacts the nominees and asks them to complete the application form. The application deadline for the nominee to submit the requested information is August 31, and the winner will be announced in October.
