The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) announced that candidates for certified orthotic fitter, certified mastectomy fitter, and certified durable medical equipment specialist can complete their certification exams remotely beginning in June. This COVID-sensitive testing option is a joint offering from BOC and its exam delivery partner, PSI.
BOC’s Credentialing Director Matthew Gruskin, MBA, BOCO, BOCPD, says BOC planned to add remote proctored testing as an option later in 2020, but due to the temporary closure of many testing centers as a result of COVID-19, the project was accelerated.Â
