A.R. Menzies & Sons, Fredericton, New Brunswick, a third-generation, family-owned O&P company, celebrated its 100th anniversary in February. Long-time patients joined the company’s celebration, including Jerry McFarland, the oldest Menzies customer. The 85-year-old has had prosthetic limbs made by all three Menzies generations.
To commemorate the anniversary, Allan Menzies, the company president and grandson of the founder, donated $15,000 (about $11,201 USD) to Camp Rotary, a residential summer camp for children and adults with disabilities in New Brunswick.
