Sveinn Sölvason joined Össur in 2009 and, after serving as its director of treasury and corporate development and moving into the role of CFO in 2013, he took the helm as president and CEO in April 2022 following Jon Sigurdsson’s retirement. Sölvason, who holds a master’s degree in finance and accounting and a bachelor’s degree in international business, worked at Marel, Kaupthing Bank, Goldman Sachs and HSH Nordbank prior to joining Össur.
