Scott Hosie, CPO, director of clinical educaton, Fillauer Motion Control, retired at the end of 2023. Hosie held the roles for more than a decade and spent 15 years with Motion Control as a consultant, educator, and a player in strengthening sales and client relationships for the company.
During his 39-year career, Hosie worked as a clinician and educator in O&P clinics throughout the United States, as well as serving as the assistant director for the Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics for Shriners Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City for many years.
While at Motion Control, Hosie was instrumental in helping design the Motion Arm, the ETD2, and the newly released Myo/One electrode system. Most recently he authored a chapter on control options for upper-limb, externally powered components in the fifth edition of the Atlas of Amputations and Limb Deficiencies. He was also a key person in the launch of the TASKA brand in the United States.
