Hanger, Austin, Texas, has promoted Mitchell Dobson, CPO, FAAOP, and James Campbell, PhD, CO, FAAOP, to its senior leadership team.
Dobson, who has been named senior vice president and chief compliance officer, has been with Hanger for 24 years, most recently serving as the vice president and compliance officer for the patient care segment. Throughout his tenure at Hanger, Dobson has held various other compliance and regulatory-related roles, and practiced as a clinician for more than a decade.

Dobson holds a bachelor of science degree in prosthetics and orthotics from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and a certificate in healthcare compliance from The George Washington University. He currently serves on the board of directors for the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) and was a member of the organization’s coding committee for 15 years.
Campbell has been promoted to senior vice president, and he will also continue to serve in his role as chief clinical officer where he leads the clinical and scientific affairs department. He completed his undergraduate education in prosthetics and orthotics at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, where he also received his doctorate in bio-engineering. He previously served on the AOPA board of directors including as president in 2016. He is also a past member of the board of directors for the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (the Academy) and served as chair of AAOP’s educational development council. He joined Hanger in 2015.
Dobson and Campbell will report to Hanger CEO Vinit Asar.
