Virtual conferences are new to many attendees but despite the unfamiliarity, they are finding a rich experience.
James Young, CPO, FAAOP, Amputee Prosthetic Clinic, Macon, Georgia, shared: I was apprehensive about doing this online, but so far, I am impressed. The content is great, and I have never had a more comfortable seat at a conference. I do miss the networking and conversations with the people at the event. I hope that this is not going to be a new standard for events, but as an option for those who have difficulties with travel and taking time off this is perfect.
Michael Meramo, CPO, LPO, Restore POC, Trenton, New Jersey, was also initially hesitant to register but shared this after his first day: Since this has been the first virtual meeting I have attended, I hesitated to enroll in the conference. After the first full day, I was able to ask questions on the chat, and I was able to go back if I missed something. I am very impressed with all the work that went into setting this up. I actually am learning more at my own pace. The downside is the after-dinner meetings and face-to-face discussions. Overall I’m glad I did this.
