Integrum AB, Mölndal, Sweden, has received the Swedish Embedded Award 2018 for the development of the first neuroprosthetic technology that allows patients with upper-limb amputations to have natural control and the sensation of touch in their prosthetic hand.
Integrum developed the Artificial Limb Controller (ALC), which is embedded in the prosthetic connector that interfaces between a bone-anchored Osseointegrated Prostheses for the Rehabilitation of Amputees (OPRA) Implant System and a prosthetic arm.
