The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) is seeking feedback on the proposed entry-level education standards for pedorthists via an online survey. The survey will take about 30 minutes and will close February 4.
While the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) presently holds an active certification program for pedorthists, the objective for creating these educational standards is to bring pedorthic education standards under the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accreditation system.
Feedback on the educational standards will help assure that future pedorthists receive adequate education and training to provide appropriate care to their patient population.
