The National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) encouraged employers seeking to hire technicians to contact the program directors from the O&P technician education programs for recent graduates.

The program directors are working to update and revitalize the education and training programs for students seeking to become an O&P technician. The changes are due in part to the high demand for technicians around the country and to help reduce the cost of education for students seeking this career.
