Dear Clinicians:
I am currently researching changes in communication between
prosthetists and their patients as my thesis topic. As part of the
healthcare industry, the field of prosthetics has experienced many
changes over the past three years, and I believe they may have
impacted the way you communicate with your patients. This survey is
intended to measure this impact. I initially became interested in
this topic because I manage the communications programs for Otto
Bock.
The resulting paper will provide insight into whether patient
communication practices have changed, as well as offer details
about how you and your colleagues are responding to the changing
healthcare environment. Your response will be confidential and will
be reported in a generalized way, without identifying you or your
practice.
Your answers are important, and will impact the outcome of the
survey but more importantly, will provide guidance for the future
direction of the industry.
