United States Paralympics has begun requesting nominations for its annual Amazing Awards, which honor outstanding individuals and organizations making major contributions to the Paralympic movement in the United States. Deadline for nomination is Monday, March 15, 2010, and nominations forms are available at http://usparalympics.org/pages/8321
According to the U.S. Paralympics, the Amazing Sport Club Award will be presented to a Paralympic Sport Club partner organization that has made “outstanding organizational contributions to the Paralympic movement. Amazing through innovation! Amazing through impact! Amazing through daily promotion of the Paralympic ideas!”
The Amazing Leader Award will go to an individual or organization “whose leadership in the Paralympic movement has been transformative and who has mobilized and unified athletes, programs, and organizations to improve the lives of people with physical disabilities.”
Both awards will be presented during the 2010 Developing Amazing Leaders Paralympic Conference, April 30-May 3, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
