Effective March 2011, Pamela Hale, CPO, has assumed the new position of national director of orthotic development with Becker Orthopedic, Troy, Michigan. In her new role, she will be involved in the development and execution of educational and marketing programs. Hale also functions as project manager for SpineCor, overseeing and directing all SpineCor activities in the United States.
Prior to this position Hale was Becker Orthopedic’s clinical education specialist.

After obtaining a bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology at Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Hale attended the University of New Hampshire, Durham, receiving a master’s degree with an emphasis in exercise physiology and biomechanics. Hale then focused her studies in O&P and earned a second bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Hale has 17 years of experience in O&P. Her clinical practice focused on acute spinal trauma and rehabilitation, lower-limb orthotics for pediatric and adult patients, and gait analysis in relation to orthotic interventions. She served in a variety of management roles with Hanger Orthopedic Group and also volunteered as an instructor for adaptive ski programs in Colorado and New Mexico.
